The Southern Islands is a resort place used for relaxation or recreation, attracting visitors for holidays or vacations. In Hikari ochiru: Resort Andre, Sora and the others go to the islands for a real chance of rest and relaxation, Denvor goes to find some material to make a new gummi ship this special material is only found and made on the southern island.

As stated prior Andre, Babe, Sora, Riku and Denvor go to the islands for vaction and to look for material that they can use to make a better gummi ship so they can travel to many other worlds and stop anything from destroying them. On this island many beautiful women are also there for vaction as well including Saori who recently made friends with Anna who knew Andre in the past.
